Successfully Fought a Bank That Wrongfully Filed for Foreclosure
Although our clients had kept up with their mortgage payments, their bank was adamant that they were late, and the bank ultimately filed a foreclosure lawsuit. The bank ignored our initial warnings, so we filed counter measures in the foreclosure suit, as well as a separate lawsuit against the bank for their malicious actions. The court ruled in our favor and dismissed the bank’s foreclosure case, which prompted the bank to offer to settle in our other lawsuit.
Used Sleuthing Skills to Get a Case Dismissed

After submitting the necessary paperwork and advocating on their behalf, we were able to reduce the mortgage principal by 38% and lower the monthly payment to just $300.
Reduced a Client’s Mortgage Obligation by $80,000
One of our clients was in danger of losing their home to foreclosure. The bank had sued them on a $130,000 mortgage, but after we took on the case and began advocating on our client’s behalf, the bank caved and agreed to walk away from the house completely in exchange for just $50,000.
Quickly Stopped a Pending Foreclosure Sale
A client came to us the morning of Friday, July 1, asking for help with a foreclosure sale that was scheduled for Tuesday, July 5 (with that Monday being a holiday). Our team acted quickly and filed an emergency motion later that day, successfully stopping the pending sale.
Successfully Defended a Client Against a Flip-Flopping Bank
After we submitted a loan modification application on our client’s behalf, the bank told us in writing that they had all of the documents they needed. However, just one month later, the bank denied our client’s application, stating that they didn’t have all the necessary paperwork. We filed an emergency motion asking the court to cancel the upcoming trial and send us back to mediation, and although the bank’s lawyers fought hard against it in court, the judge granted our motion, postponed the trial, and ordered the parties back to mediation.
